100% Recycled, Sustainable Dock Lines Made In Britain

A huge step forward in sustainability, Blue Ocean® Dock Line is a 100% recycled product made from used plastic bottles. Even more impressively it's fully recyclable at the end of its life helping the circular economy and the health of the planet. Marlow pioneered this type of manufacturing where others now follow.

Protect Your Prized Asset

Blue Ocean®Dock Line is designed to be easily spliced, and remain soft, supple, and comfortable to handle throughout it’s life, making it easy to attach to cleats and loop through bollards. With great shock absorption, UV and abrasion resistance there is no comparable Dock Line.

Length Guide

For mooring lines we advise using 1.5 x the boat length to provide sufficient length for most mooring scenarios. Typically a yacht will carry two mooring lines of this size and a further two smaller ones of 1 x boat length, typically used as springs. For Marina berthing it is typical to have spliced, fixed-length docklines made for fast and repeatable mooring. Mooring Lines can be spliced with thimbles and chafe covers for additional protection.

Dock Line Care

  • We recommend trying to wash saltwater out of your Dockline once every month by soaking it in a bucket of freshwater to remove the build up of salty crystals which can cause internal abrasion.
  • Store your Dockline out of the sun when not in use.
  • Ensure it is coiled correctly when not deployed to avoid any unnecessary twist being added to the rope.
  • Splice instead of tying a knot. A well spliced rope retains 90% strength whereas a knot can reduce strength by up to 50%.
